I was roaming around in Anjuna looking for a spot to catch the sunset. Unfortunately, the beach was too crowded with psytrance blasting from most beach shacks. I hate psytrance.

A fair bit of walking led me to rocks south of Shiva Valley.

The rocks blew me away. I had never seen such an extensive network of rocks next to a beach. The low tide probably exposed the rocks which would have been underwater otherwise.

I found a lot of rocks to be interesting.

I was on my flight back to Goa and I had picked up a copy of “Moving to Goa” by Katharina Kakar. Sick of the party vibe, I wanted to know more about the history and people of the state. I had just completed the chapter on the hippies of Anjuna before I started editing these photos.

While editing them, I turned up the colors accidentally and it looked good.

If I were a hippie in 60s Anjuna dancing the night away in one of the sunrise parties,
is this how I would see the stones?
